Inzaghi Inter Well Paid For Busy Fixture List But Not Seeking Revenge Against Man City

## Inzaghi: Inter ‘Well-paid’ for busy fixture list, but not seeking ‘revenge’ against Man City Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi has said his team is ‘well-paid’ to play in so many competitions this season and is not seeking ‘revenge’ against Manchester City in the Champions League last 16. Inter head to Manchester next week trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Milan. Inzaghi says beating Liverpool and Barcelona means ‘no one can say our season has been a failure’ even if they go out of the Champions League. “We’re paid well to play so many games,” Inzaghi said. “We must be ambitious, but it’s not easy to play every three days. “We’ll try to achieve our target by giving our all. It might not be enough, but we have to give our all. “People say we have a tough fixture list, but we’re paid for that. The club earns a lot from these competitions and we try to honour our commitments as best we can.” Inter have lost their last three games in all competitions and Inzaghi said he was “sorry for the fans” who have seen their team slip off the top of Serie A. “We have to give more, because we know that, especially in these competitions, if you don’t you don’t win,” he said. “Now we’re focused on Manchester City and then we’ll focus on the next game. We’re aware that we haven’t won for a while and we’re sorry for our fans who have seen their team slip off the top of Serie A.” Inter have already beaten Barcelona and Liverpool this season, and Inzaghi said he was happy with his team’s performance in those games. “We’ve already beaten Liverpool and Barcelona, so no one can say our season has been a failure even if we go out of the Champions League,” he said. “I think that gives us a good base to work from and we’re looking forward to the game against Manchester City.” Inzaghi said he did not believe Inter were seeking ‘revenge’ against Manchester City following last season’s Champions League semi-final defeat. “I don’t think this is a question of revenge,” he said. “We’re going to Manchester to try and win the game and qualify for the next round. “That’s the only thing that matters. We have to focus on our own performance and not think about revenge.”
