Biden Secures Pledged Delegates
On June 5, Joe Biden became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee after securing the necessary 1,991 pledged delegates, according to the Associated Press.
Democratic Primary Schedule
The Democratic primary season began on February 3, 2020, with the Iowa caucuses and ended on June 2, 2020, with the final primary in the District of Columbia. Twenty-nine states and one territory held their primaries on or before March 10, known as Super Tuesday.
Republican Primary Schedule
The Republican Party has not yet held any presidential primaries or caucuses. The Republican National Convention is scheduled to be held from August 24-27, 2020, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to the CNN Primary Election Results page, Joe Biden won the most popular votes with 17,694,318. Bernie Sanders came in second with 11,121,376 votes. The remaining candidates received less than 10% of the total votes cast.
